Protecting Children, Empowering Communities and Building Brighter Futures

All India Movement for Service (AIMS) is a leading non-profit organization established in Chennai in 2017. We are dedicated to tackling critical social issues and empowering individuals and communities.

Making a Difference Together:

AIMS is a strong advocate for victim-centred services and collaborates with various stakeholders to create positive change. We are committed to ending child sexual abuse, empowering women, investing in future generations, and building a more just and equitable society.
Our Managing Trustee Kanyadevi is passionate for social change and humanitarian causes. Her journey into social work began during the devastating floods of 2015 in Chennai, where she played a pivotal role in coordinating relief efforts. Recognised for her outstanding contributions, she was awarded the title of Best Coordinator among volunteers.
Driven by a deep sense of compassion, Kanyadevi continued her involvement with various social organisations, focusing on addressing the needs of society. Eventually, she dedicated herself to humanity and social sector, with a particular emphasis atrocity and ensure the safety of children and women. Then she founded All India Movement For Service in 2017.
AIMS gives special attention to cases relating to women and children. AIMS believes that women and children are the most vulnerable sections in any social group and therefore need to get wider representation and better protection. As a result, AIMS has played a central role in bringing them justice in many cases they have undertaken.
AIMS vision is a progress in the social conditions that pertains to the exclusion and exploitation of women and children. We believe that this is a continuous process that needs to be achieved through education, counselling, empowerment and judicial representation. Therefore, we also work in these fields to create a cumulative change. AIMS is also a staunch champion for women and kids with no one to depend on. Our help also extends to the rural community where they are placed in a worse situation.

SCAR CARE: Prevention of Child sexual Abuse (POCSO)

Child Sexual Abuse is continuing in our society and it is destroying children’s lives cruelly. Most of the time, child sexual abuse will not go away with a single incident. It will take place regularly as a gradual process. We should learn the early warning signs of the children and take effective steps to stop the child sexual abuse before it starts or before a child is affected. As adults, we must take up the primary responsibility to prevent child sexual abuse by addressing the children’s concerns immediately to reduce the risk to our child’s life.

Our Approach

1. CASE IDENTIFICATION

Identifying cases through various sources and isolating the victim from the abuser.

2. SUPPORT TO SURVIVOR & THEIR FAMILY

The AIMS team provides assistance in filing FIRs, offers physical and emotional support to children during police investigations and court appearances, accompanies parents to hospitals, facilitates government compensation, and provides long-term support by checking in with survivors via calls or home visits.

3. COUNSELING

We have a team of child psychologists who utilize therapeutic techniques to aid victim in healing, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and rebuilding their sense of self-worth.

4. SUPPORT TO POLICE

AIMS works closely with Investigating Officers to record statements and file the appropriate sections of the POCSO Act. We support survivors throughout the investigation process, ensuring that the child is not threatened and is treated with respect.

5. LEGAL SUPPORT

The Child Welfare Committee appoints the AIMS team as support persons, or victims request our intervention in cases. Our advocate councils provide free legal assistance to survivors and their families until a judgment is given.

6. EDUCATION & FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The AIMS team supports survivors with all basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, medical expenses, and education. We provide continuous support throughout their educational journey.

7. REHABILITATION

Through counselling and therapeutic techniques, we also assist them in acquiring new skills alongside their education, aiding in the rebuilding of their self-worth.
